Beverly Ingram

Beverly Ingram considers herself a chameleon of teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages. She has assisted English learners in leveling the playing field for over 20 years. She has a BA in International Relations, studying in Europe (and therefore understanding the challenges of high-level academics in a second or third language), graduate coursework in Second Language Acquisition, a Virginia Teaching License with an ESOL endorsement, TEFL certification, academic coaching training, as well as non-academic, but relevant trainings in Mindfulness and Ecotherapy. Beverly has taught students from 5-75 years old in three countries. She believes in the power and importance of relationships in our learning. The student’s needs come first, and the relationship and trust she builds with them is key to their success. When Beverly is not teaching, you can find her backpacking or kayaking in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
